Terms of Service
Last updated: April 19, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Caveno, including our website, web application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use Caveno. You are responsible for providing accurate registration information, maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, and all activity that occurs under your account.
Notify us promptly at support@usecaveno.com if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
2. Description of the Service
Caveno is a budgeting, planning, and financial organization tool. Depending on the features available to you, the Service may allow you to create manual accounts, connect financial accounts through third-party providers such as Plaid and Teller, import and review transactions, create budgets and planning information, and export certain account and household data.
Caveno is not a bank, lender, broker, credit repair company, tax advisor, accounting firm, or registered investment adviser.
3. Beta / Early Access Status
Caveno is currently offered on a beta or early access basis. Features may change, be limited, or be removed at any time. The Service may contain bugs, errors, or inaccuracies. Linked account syncing, balances, transactions, and calculations may be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, or incorrect. Access may be restricted, paused, or revoked at any time.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, especially during beta.
4. No Financial, Legal, Tax, or Accounting Advice
Caveno provides information, calculations, and planning tools for general informational purposes only. Caveno does not provide financial, investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice. Budgets, projections, payoff calculations, funding suggestions, balances, and categorizations are tools and estimates only. You remain responsible for reviewing your information and making your own decisions.
5. Third-Party Providers and Linked Accounts
Caveno may integrate with third-party services, including Plaid and Teller, to help you connect outside financial accounts. Caveno depends on those providers and outside financial institutions and cannot guarantee that synced balances, transactions, institution names, account metadata, or availability will be accurate, complete, or current.
Your use of third-party services may also be subject to those third parties' separate terms and privacy policies.
6. Households, Invitations, and Shared Access
Some Caveno features support household-based access and invitations. If you invite another person into your household or join a shared household, household data may become visible to other authorized household members based on the product's design.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purposes; interfere with or disrupt the Service; attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, systems, or data; reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service except as allowed by law; or use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or overburden the platform.
8. Data Export and User Content
Caveno may allow you to export certain data associated with your account or household. Exports are provided for convenience. We do not guarantee that exports will always be available, complete, or error-free. You are responsible for reviewing, storing, and protecting any exported files you download.
9. Account Suspension or Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, including if you violate these Terms, your use creates risk, we modify or discontinue part of the Service, or beta access is revoked or expires.
10. Account Deletion
Caveno may offer an account deletion request process. Deletion may not be immediate and may include a short reactivation window before final processing. Some information may be retained as reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, audit, legal compliance, dispute resolution, backup, or operational purposes, subject to applicable law.
11. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, and other content, is owned by Caveno or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for your personal, internal use.
12. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Caveno and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, savings, goodwill, data, or use.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Caveno's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Caveno for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose or US $50.
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Caveno and its affiliates, personnel, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or related to your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, violation of applicable law, or violation of third-party rights.
15. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may modify these Terms or any part of the Service at any time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Service, by email, or by other reasonable means. Continued use after updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict of law principles.
